Level 1: Basic: Our basic service is one of individual care for the child with special needs, in the company of the family. The intention is for both your child with special needs and other family members to be able to participate in and enjoy the family's planned activities, knowing that he/she is safe and engaged. This may look like building a sand castle with your child while you relax under an umbrella or accompanying your child on a roller coaster. We will be the extra set of hands, eyes and hears for your child, shadowing he/she through your family's fun-filled days.
Level 2: Supportive: If you are interested in respite and your child maintaining a productive level of engagement, we suggest a more involved level of service. A supportive level of service provides more options for your child to participate in both the family's planned activities, as well as more individualized activities apart from the family. We will assist he/she in understanding aspects of the travel such as changing routines, getting to know a new environment, and generalizing learned skills. This may include facilitating a communication system or visual schedule, desentizing he/she to a new experience, or assisting them in daily living skills, such as mealtime. Activities may include horseback riding with your child or supporting him/her interacting with another child at the pool. We will take the role of having your child benefit from the travel experience, in addition to having fun with the family.
